Buzz Russell- Host of "The Dawn Patrol" and "The Trading Post" Buzz is on the air
daily from 6am till 10am. And again from Noon to 1:00pm hosting the
popular Lunch With the Legends, featuring the best of the 50's, 60's,
70's and early 80's . Buzz Russell started in broadcasting in 1983 in
Baytown, Texas. With 20 years behind the microphone, 18 of those years
have been spent as both a Programming Director and Music Director , Buzz
has been on the air 12 years with Texas 99.
While attending Texas A & M in the Corps of Cadets and pursuing an
engineering degree a career in broadcasting came about .. the result was
graduation from Columbia school of broadcasting and 20 yrs as a number
one air personality at 5 stations, wining the south texas air
personality of the year earned Buzz a ride in the back seat with the
Blue Angels! It also earned him the ability to interview the likes of
George Strait, Garth Brooks and several other powerful Country stars,
Plus over the past 3 years a host of Texas artists that continue to
make Texas Music the most exciting brand of country today.

David Campbell - Dave Campbell is a 20 plus year veteran of Sports Radio. A former assistant sports editor with the Corsicana Daily Sun, He is currently a sports writer with the Waco Tribune-Herald. David also worked with United Press International and Texas High School Coaches Association members in this region have nominated him for Texas Sports Writer of the Year. David has won the associated Press award for "Best Commentary-Editorial." Campbell received a journalism degree from the University of Texas in Austin in 1975. While in school, he interned at Associated Press radio, covering the Texas State Legislature. David has also been the play-by-play broadcaster for many state championships including The Groesbeck Goats, Mexia Black cats and Wortham bulldogs last year David was the color commentator on A&M Consolidated football games for WTAW in College Station.
Bill Booth - Host of the "Rock N Roll Freight Train" Bill is a native Texas who has lived in Mexia since 1977 with his wife,Sharon. Their Son Brian is a 2001 graduate of Mexia High School. Bill has been in broadcasting for 35 years, in all aspects of the business, from DJ to General Manager and back again. Bill has started two area radio stations and was part owner and General Manager of one of those for several years. He started working at Texas 99 in October 1990. He left in March, 1999, to work at another station and returned to Texas 99 in June 2002. "The people here are like family" he says. "I'm Thrilled to be back" Bill is the engineer of the popular Rock -n-roll freight Train from 6:00 pm till midnight every saturday, and also does commercials and remote broadcasts. He has two degrees, including one in Radio/Television Production and was a professional guitarist and singer for many years. Bill says he is living proof of the old saying.
